This Exists, That Exists / Mirror / Lumia
(Acrylic, Water, Oil / Wool / Oil, Paper)

A pool of water covered in a fine film of oil, This Exists, That Exists (floor); a knitted reproduction of a scan, Mirror (right); an imprint of marbled oil, Lumia (left).

From the vantage of hyperobjects, a phased multi-dimensional view where we contemplate vast, interwoven constellations and colossal unseen forces that shape our reality: the ecosystems, networks for extracting and transforming raw materials and technology as entangled entities, how can we re-evaluate value, waste and consumption from an anthropocentric perspective? Hyperobjects touch on the ephemeral nature of form and the expansive, timeless continuum of formlessness, an endless ebb and flow of becoming and entropy.
